Molly, Larry and 8 month old Dillan

I really enjoyed this family shoot, Dillan is the happiest guy! He even went without a nap and still was all smiles! Molly and Larry have a lovely farm to take pictures at, and guess what we actually had a day that was over 20 degrees to take photos in! Hurray! You know your a Minnesotan when you cheer for 20 degrees. Thanks for looking everyone.

My Mom

Over thanksgiving I had a wonderful time visiting my mom in St. Louis. I had been promising her a photo session for awhile now, so we finally had time to do one! Yea! Here are a few from the session, I have been so busy with christmas prep that I havent had much time for posting so this is late. Sorry about that!

So I thought as long as I was posting about my mom I thought I would also tell you about a childhood memory that was brought back to me this morning. As I woke up the kids this morning I realized that this must be the coldest morning its been in a long time. something like 14 below zero wind chills. brrrr but the reason I realized it is because I woke up and my toes hit the floor and the floor was FREEZING!!! So the kids and I ran downstairs to the Corn Stove and proceeded to get dressed there. It made me laugh as It dawned on me that I am doing the exact same thing to them as my parents did to me :) I remember waking up as a little girl in the winter and my sister and I shared "The Cold Room" as we called it. We would wake up and put our bare feeet down on the cold tile and then run down the stairs. There was a turn at the bottom so we would be running so fast that we would hit the wall only to be covered in Frost that had built up on the wall because of a leaky door. which made us run even faster to the heater in the living room. The whole family would gather there to get dressed every morning. Before we would head out to the school bus with our bread bagged feet inside of good ol Moon Boots :) Sure is fun being a farm kid in Minnesota!

Enjoy the cold and the photos everyone

Jackie and Jason just for fun in Taylors Falls

Who says you need a reason to take photos :) How about just because! Jason and Jackie are a newly in love and wanted to have a photo shoot done. I love people in love! They just are so easy to take photos of, and this couple was especially easy, probably because they were so darn beautiful, they should both become models! I cant believe how lucky I am to have such beautiful people to take photos of. Thanks Jackie and Jason for having me take photos for the afternoon I truly enjoyed it!

The Klanderud Family with cute little Tate!

I had a fun and energetic photo shoot with the Klanderud family in North Branch. There little boy Tate is such a happy guy he was just smiles the whole time and didnt even seem to mind that I was a stranger to him :) he just smiled away and ran around like crazy, I had my work cut out for me as he just did not stay still for a second. I tried with all my might to get him to sit on a hay bale and give me a grin but instead it turned into him running like mad on the hay rack. oh well after I got to processing the images I was actually glad he didnt stay still, I think that I captured who this little guy is. And his mom and dad were an absolute pleasure to work with - what a fantastic family! Thanks to them for having me out to their farm!
