Over thanksgiving I had a wonderful time visiting my mom in St. Louis. I had been promising her a photo session for awhile now, so we finally had time to do one! Yea! Here are a few from the session, I have been so busy with christmas prep that I havent had much time for posting so this is late. Sorry about that!
So I thought as long as I was posting about my mom I thought I would also tell you about a childhood memory that was brought back to me this morning. As I woke up the kids this morning I realized that this must be the coldest morning its been in a long time. something like 14 below zero wind chills. brrrr but the reason I realized it is because I woke up and my toes hit the floor and the floor was FREEZING!!! So the kids and I ran downstairs to the Corn Stove and proceeded to get dressed there. It made me laugh as It dawned on me that I am doing the exact same thing to them as my parents did to me :) I remember waking up as a little girl in the winter and my sister and I shared "The Cold Room" as we called it. We would wake up and put our bare feeet down on the cold tile and then run down the stairs. There was a turn at the bottom so we would be running so fast that we would hit the wall only to be covered in Frost that had built up on the wall because of a leaky door. which made us run even faster to the heater in the living room. The whole family would gather there to get dressed every morning. Before we would head out to the school bus with our bread bagged feet inside of good ol Moon Boots :) Sure is fun being a farm kid in Minnesota!
Enjoy the cold and the photos everyone
